Most fail to notice, get into the rat race, I am sorry, career path struggle it's called, some succeed, most don't. For those who succeed, the success is momentary, disappointment that follows will be eternal.
No, I am not going to tell you that you have to follow the path that Bhagwan Krishna himself asked everyone to follow. At least that's what we think. But come to think of it, Krishna never meant it to be for common folks. It was Arjuna, manifestation of power, he was addressing to. To him he said, "Do not think that these folks are your close ones, people related to you. तस्मात् उत्तिष्ठ कौंतेय, युद्धाय कृतनिश्चय: । Think about those shareholders, and do what you must. Go ahead Arjun, pick up that गांडीव of yours and start kicking some serious ass." For rest of the poor saps all he had was, the advice of "कर्मण्येवाधिकारस्ते मा फलेषु कदाचन"! Do your duty of getting killed and be happy to know that you died while carrying out your solemn duty.
I always wonder if name of Arjuna's Dhanushya meant kick-ass in Sanskrit. I am like, who names their weapons? I have once heard a career criminal calling his handgun, rather lovingly, a "bitch". But that was it. Never saw anyone having a pet name for their weapon of choice. I have no doubt, Arjun loved, rather gleefully, to kick some ass every now and then.
Corporate world has always been in sync with Krishna. It's just for those poor sods who toil there to get their shit together and follow what Krishna has advised long time ago - कर्मण्येवाधिकारस्ते मा फलेषु कदाचन।
